Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday - December 1, 2024
This special day is all about coming together to support the organizations and causes that matter to us. We're thrilled that you are here to support Friends of Metuchen Arts – a 501(c)(3) non-profit NJ corporation.
We are excited to announce that a donor has stepped up to match all donations made in the next 5 days! Your donation of $50 becomes $100 if you donate by midnight on December 1st! Your $100 will work harder for the arts by being matched for a total of $200! Even $5 becomes $10! Please donate today!
We are setting our sights high with the goal of raising $5,000 to support our programs and services. Your donations will provide education, events and exhibits at low or no cost, continuing to prove that Metuchen is the best place for art lovers to live and work.
Why us? Everyone is asking for donations this time of year – why give to Friends of Metuchen Arts?
· We get the art done: In 2024, we presented or supported more than 30 Metuchen art events, most of which were free to the public. The list of events includes 8 jazz concerts and a county-wide jazz festival, classical chamber music performances, an a capella concert, a porch festival, a storytelling program, various visual art gallery events, several community art events for children and 10 drawing nights.
· We get new art funded: We are most proud to have created our first grant program, awarding $5,500 to local creative artists, enabling performances, classes and exhibits in our community through the end of 2024 and into 2025. We will continue our grant program with two additional funding cycles in 2025.
· We enable a future with even more art: Our 2025 plans include support for community theatre, dance, film, a return of the popular Porchfest event and lots more!
· You can trust us: We are careful stewards of your donations, vetting our recipients and providing only high-quality results. When you donate to us, you donate to many artists and projects, not just one.
· Your donation is doubled until December 1st! Our donor will match your donation made by December 1st. If your workplace offers a matching donation program, your donation could be tripled!
Your donation today will be used to help meet our goals and to enrich our community through the arts together.
Thank you for being a part of our family!
