Opening at the Gallery at Papillon, 418 Main St.,Metuchen, Saturday, April 6, 3-5pm, and on view until Saturday, June 15. Call for Artist
Galerie Westerhoff invites you to participate in its new, unique show THE WORLD OF ANIME ART. Anime is a style of art that originated in Japan, but has now adopted a global identity, covering a wide range of styles. We are accepting 2D animation drawings (hand or computer-drawn), 2D and 3D characters, cartoons, and other imaginative fantasy character drawings and paintings.Last date of submission is April 5, 2024. Open to all Anime Artists

Walking Nature Tour - Peter Barnes Wildlife Preserve (former Dismal Swamp)
Join the Metuchen Arts Council and the Metuchen Environmental Commission for a walking tour of the newly established RED TRAIL in the Preserve. Learn about how climate change is challenging this natural habitat and what is being done for future preservation. Hosted by Walter Stochel.

Rufus Reed Quartet - International Jazz Day
Giant of Jazz, Bassist Rufus Reid Quartet performs at Metuchen Public Library in a FREE concert on in celebration of International Jazz Day and Jazz Appreciation Month. Seats are limited. Registration is a must at Eventbrite. Rufus’ Quartet includes: Roberta Piket, piano; Langston Hughes II, saxophones and Jerome Jennings, drums. Presented by Metuchen Arts Council, Metuchen Library and Friends of Metuchen Arts. Grant funding has been provided by the Middlesex County Board of Commissioners through a grant award from the Middlesex County Cultural and Arts Trust Fund. ArtCycle at the Metuchen Greenway
The Metuchen Arts Council received a grant to create a walking outdoor gallery. This gallery will be the second installment of one of our existing arts programs, ArtCycle, where we encourage art made with recycled material. Support provided by Friends of Metuchen Arts.
